1. Information We Collect
This site does not require an account. If you use the Share Designs or Correction / Removal forms, the site collects the name, email address, URLs, and notes you choose to provide so the request can be reviewed and, if needed, answered. These details are not shown publicly.
When you use site search, we store the search term, page language, page path, result count, user agent, and a hashed IP address so we can understand what visitors are looking for and improve the catalog.
When you use pattern hearts or comments, the site stores an IP-derived hashed IP value and user agent for abuse prevention. Comments also store the optional display name and comment text you provide. Only approved comments and approved display names are shown publicly; the application database does not store raw IP addresses for these features.
2. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate traffic, page performance, and how visitors use the site. These services may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies and may receive information such as the page URL, IP address, approximate location, browser or device information, and interaction data. For the first-party features described above, the application database stores IP-derived hashes instead of raw IP addresses. Separately, the web server and security or hosting providers may temporarily process and retain IP addresses in access or security logs for service operation, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Local server logs are rotated daily and retained for up to 14 days. Analytics providers may receive an IP address directly from your browser under their own privacy terms.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded unless analytics is allowed. If analytics is declined, those optional services remain unloaded. If analytics is allowed, both services may use cookies or similar storage to measure visits and interactions across pages. Outside those regions, analytics operates normally unless you save a different choice in the site's Privacy settings. Advertising storage and advertising consent remain disabled.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on its partner sites information page. You can limit cookies in your browser and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
3. Advertising
Third-party advertising is not currently active. The site does not currently make AdSense ad requests, and its privacy controls do not ask for advertising consent. If advertising is introduced later, this policy and the site's consent controls will be updated before advertising is enabled.
4. Content sources
Images and text displayed on this site come from public creator posts and community or user submissions, including links submitted by creators to their own work. Copyright remains with the original creators, and entries link to the source post where available.
5. Content removal
If you are an original creator and would like your content removed, please use the Correction / Removal page.
6. Form data, sharing, and retention
Form submissions are used only to review shared links, process correction or removal requests, prevent spam, and contact the submitter when necessary. We may share data with service providers that operate analytics, security, or hosting services, or when required by law. We do not sell form submission information. Data is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for these purposes, record-keeping, dispute handling, and abuse prevention. You may request deletion of your form submission information through the Correction / Removal page.
7. Your choices
You can use Privacy settings in the site footer to allow or disable optional analytics at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Declining analytics does not disable the site's essential functions.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
