Pattern Sheet Guide

What Is a Pattern Sheet?

A pattern sheet is a pixel-grid recreation guide for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream's Palette House. It breaks a custom design into rows, columns, cells, and colors so you can copy it step by step inside the game.

Unlike a normal screenshot, a pattern sheet shows how a design is built. When a sheet matches the right canvas, brush size, color palette, and pixel-perfect setup, each square can correspond to one paintable cell in Palette House. That makes full-grid sheets especially useful for recreating clothes, pets, food, treasures, house exteriors, island objects, ground tiles, face paint, logos, and other custom designs.

Pattern sheets are not automatic imports or QR codes. They are manual recreation guides: match the setup, count the cells, follow the colors, and rebuild the design in-game.

Moonmist Valley's Tomodachi Life Pattern Archive (トモコレ デザイン アーカイブ) collects community-shared pattern sheets and references that are practical to recreate. To learn how shared designs are reviewed, labeled, categorized, credited, and updated, visit the About page.

Why This Pattern Archive?

Moonmist Valley's Tomodachi Life Pattern Archive is not a random screenshot collection. Each entry is reviewed and organized around one practical question: can another player actually use this reference to recreate the design in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream?

Many shared designs appear only as blurry phone photos, cropped screenshots, distorted images, or unclear tutorials. These posts can still be valuable as inspiration, but they often hide the grid, size, shape, colors, tool settings, or drawing steps needed for a reliable recreation.

Moonmist Valley prioritizes clearer references, labels incomplete or partial references honestly, and uses human volunteer reviewers plus community feedback to improve entries over time.

For each pattern, we try to preserve source links, creator credit, translated notes, image clarity, grid availability, recreation difficulty, design type, tool use, and fine-grained tags. We also add detailed, searchable text descriptions so players can find patterns by what they contain and how practical they are to rebuild.

The goal is simple: help players find designs they can understand, credit, search, and recreate, not just screenshots they can admire. It also helps creators keep their work discoverable, properly credited, and easier for new players to find these community treasures.

How to Use This Archive to Find the Design You Want

  1. Choose what you want to recreate: clothes, island builds, Mii designs, house exteriors, food, treasures, pets, room patterns, ground tiles, face paint, logos, or other custom designs.
  2. Search in plain language, or browse by category. A simple word or phrase is enough. For example, "hoodie," "shrine," "Miku," or "stall." On the Categories page, use filters and tags to narrow the results. Turn on "Has pattern sheet" when you want entries with detailed guidance or full-grid references.
  3. Open a result, check its labels, and follow the pattern sheet in-game. For planning and related references, you may also use TomoLayout, Mii Food Finder, Official Food Catalog, and Moonmist Valley beginner guides while you play.
