Baseball Jacket Pattern — Drawing Tutorial

Pattern sheets on p3p4. Image 2 is the Maji I made today — so I sewed some new clothes for her. Here's a brief rundown of the process~ Baseball jacket: 1️⃣ On a transparent base, take turns drawing the various patterns used on the jacket (skip the text and pocket for now — add those later) and save each one as a stamp 2️⃣ Draw the inner shirt collar and save it as a stamp too 3️⃣ Draw the front and back collar of the baseball jacket, making sure the lines connect cleanly, then fill in the large base color areas. Once filled, add some stitching lines (?) to give a slight sense of depth. Finally, copy and flip to make the other panel, and save that as a stamp too 4️⃣ Call up the shirt collar stamp, then stamp on the tie, then layer the baseball jacket front panel on top, stamp on the patterns, and finally use the rectangle tool to draw the pocket at a slight angle. If you want text, just use the text tool to write it on directly Ripped denim shorts: 1️⃣ After filling in the base color, loosely dab on a slightly darker color, then use the blur tool to blur it a little — no need to go too far, just enough to soften the edges slightly 2️⃣ Draw the pant lines. Use a lighter color to sketch the waistband and hem first, then turn on overlay mode and use a color slightly lighter than the base to loosely paint some streaky shapes along the waistband and hem — make sure to use a hard brush here, not a soft one. Once that's done, use a color slightly darker than the base to loosely paint some more streaks. This gives you the faded/worn edge effect on denim 3️⃣ Draw the rips. Because of shadowing, the skin color showing through the rips should be a slightly deeper tone. The frayed threads on the rips are drawn loosely with an off-gray-yellow color — just be careful not to make them too many or too wide ⭐ All done!
