Please read before viewing! This tutorial is the super ultra deluxe advanced edition and may not be suitable for beginners. For a simpler drawing tutorial for items, you can refer to my earlier face editing tutorial 2.0 — it applies to drawing items as well. First, sketch out a draft (the thunder color is used here to distinguish it from the linework added later — feel free to adjust as needed). Switch to a thinner brush and do a simple linework pass (you can enable curve assist or not — personally I like to enable it for blocking out the overall shape, then disable it when drawing details). Fill in the base colors roughly, then check whether the linework and shapes look right. Adjust the linework and shapes, and add in some details while you're at it. Repeat the same process to finish drawing the full body. Draw the edge line that splits the ugly cat in two (?) Add the large floral back design. The ugly cat is born!
