The flooring is mainly sand floor and gold floor alternating. The gold floor looks really nice — it pairs very well with warm color schemes and is super useful for restaurants. The unlock condition for the gold floor is unlocking a rich variety of items on the island. If you want to unlock it as soon as possible, just buy one of every furniture item — around 50 or so — and store them in a corner somewhere.
